Celebrator Nene Leonor, President Joseph Estrada, Jun Leonor and Herminio Disini

Hostess icon Nene Leonor celebrated her birthday recently at the Manila Polo Club, attended by bosom friends, ladies of charity and members of various clubs and organizations.  Nene is a lady who defies age, with her modern, fiery flair. A perfectionist, she was hands on in the preparation of her birthday merienda, from the selection of the menu, to the entertainment.

Among the guests were former President Joseph Estrada with Sen. Loi Ejercito,  former Quezon City Mayor Mel Mathay with Vilma Valera, Makati’s pride Dra. Elenita Binay, Ambassador Cristina Ponce Enrile, Usec. Franklin and Cora Ebdalin, Marivic Concepcion, Tong and Daisy Payumo, Emily Lopez, Merle Pineda, Jeannie Goulbourn, Conchitina Araneta Ladao.

From the Catholic Women’s Club came Nonie Basilio, Chit Salud, Mimi Valerio, Letty Syquia, Virginia Lane, Rosita Lesaca, Fe Rodriquez, Baby Magsaysay,  Naty Golez and Monet Guevarra.

Entertainment numbers were provided by Carmen Patena and baritone singer Jack Salud.  Businessman Gerry Contreras sang his favorite song, “The Way You Look Tonight.” The celebrator was at a loss for words in thanking her birthday well wishers.
