Actress Angel Locsin reiterated her earlier claim that Parokya ni Edgar frontman Chito Miranda is "a friend"—no more, no less.

Reports of Angel and Chito having more than friendly relations have been going on for two months already, with them having been spotted together a few times. Apparently, this started after Chito's break-up with longtime sweetheart Kaye Abad.

So what's the real score?

"Zero," according to Chito on "Showbiz News Ngayon," February 22.

“That’s weird! Tumatambay lang kami,” he said, adding that if the rumors were true, he would "proudly" admit to it.

Angel also denied the issue and even acted surprise upon hearing about it again.

"Everyday, as in everyday, may nagtatanong [kung totoo 'yon] kahit na everyday akong naglalabas sa shoutout [na] ‘hindi po kami, hindi po kami nagliligawan. Magkaibigan po kami,'” she said.

Reacting to Chito’s statement, Angel said, “Oo nga, kung kami, bakit hindi niya aaminin.”

Her former boyfriend, TV host-actor Luis Manzano also commented on the matter. “No, it’s not true. Isang malaking barkada sila. Kahit ako nakakasama ko nga sila. The fact na magkakasama kami sa bahay ni Angel, I don’t think she’ll put any of us in that situation. Hindi naman ganoon si Angel,” he said.

Angel emphasized yet again that she’s not ready to plunge into a relationship just yet.

“Sinabi ko na hindi pa ako ready na makipag-date talaga, mag-entertain. May issue pa kami ni Luis. Kahapon, nag-dinner kami ng family ko. Nandoon siya.”
