Actress Gretchen Barretto still has not given her partner businessman Tonyboy Cojuangco an anniversary gift.

Gretchen, Tonyboy and their daughter Dominique just came back from a five-day Valentine vacation in Hong Kong. She talked about the trip on "Showbiz News Ngayon" last February 22.

“Kumain lang, nagkuwentuhan. ‘Yon lang naman eh, ‘di ba, pag ganoon, bonding time. Doon kami nag-celebrate ng Valentine,” she said.

Earlier, Gretchen said that she plans to buy Tonyboy a watch while in Hong Kong to reciprocate his generosity. It is recalled that last February 2, Tonyboy gave the actress a sports car worth a couple of millions to celebrate their 16th year anniversary as a couple.

With that being said, Tony refuses any gifts from Gretchen.

“Si Tony napakasimpleng tao. Lahat na tinanong ko, kung gusto niya ng relo, ng bag. Parang ayaw niya akong gumastos dahil alam niya na ‘pag nagtatrabaho na ako...alam niya [na] mahirap kitain ang pera sa showbusiness dahil pinagpupuyatan. So, sabi niya, save your money na lang.”

Then again, Tonyboy, already has everything he desires as Gretchen herself attests.

“Lahat naman meron na yata siya, eh. Meron na siyang Gretchen. Lahat meron na siya.”

Gretchen is eager for her impending return on TV via her first ever soap opera, which will pit her acting skills against Bea Alonzo's and Derek Ramsay's. The original plan for the soap was to have her working opposite sister Claudine Barretto until the latter jumped fences to the Kapuso network.

Although some were perplexed with ABS-CBN's revived interest in Gretchen, the actress showed she’s in fine form when she appeared in an episode of "Maalaala Mo Kaya" last year. She was so convincing in her portrayal of a politician's mistress that she actually clinched the Best Single Performance By An Actress in Star Awards that season.
