Kristine and Oyo Boy: Getting married?

Though they are yet to confirm their relationship to the media, talks are rife that Kristine Hermosa and Oyo Boy Sotto are all set to tie the knot soon.

Although repeated calls to and SMS queries with Hermosa’s handlers were not answered, seemingly confirming the rumors is Hermosa’s ex-husband, Diether Ocampo.

In an interview with “SNN: Showbiz News Ngayon,” the actor-philanthropist congratulated the couple although with seeming wistfulness.

"I can wish only the best for people like them, right? Of course, as much as possible, I'd rather not say anything. [Kristine and I are okay] and there are reasons why things turn out the way they do.”

On the other hand, Angel Locsin, in a separate interview, seems genuinely happily for Sotto, her former flame.

“I’m glad that [Sotto] finally found his ‘happiness,’” she exclaimed, praising Sotto for being a “good person.”

"I’ve known Oyo for some time. He’s a …very responsible human being, he’s not what you’d consider an out and out ‘showbiz person.’”

It’s no surprise to Locsin why Sotto is seemingly all too eager to keep his relationship with Hermosa under wraps.

“He is the ‘quiet type.’ In time, he will talk.”

Hermosa and Sotto met on the set of "Enteng Kabisote," a fantasy film which also starred Sotto’s dad, comedian Vic. The two were said to have been inseparable since.

In separate interviews, both Sotto and Hermosa admitted having “special feelings” for each other but kept avoiding having to answer straight on the questions pertaining to the real status of their relationship.

“Of course, she’s special, she makes me happy…I love her,” Sotto said.

Hermosa was as vague. “I only have one heart and [Sotto] is definitely in there.”

Last year, the Sotto-Hermosa relationship rumors were downplayed after the powers that be at ABS-CBN decided to give the actress’ lackluster career a fresh boost; going as far as to revive interest in her past relationships with Ocampo and Jericho Rosales.

The public wouldn’t bite however even as rumors of Hermosa being a ‘primadonna’ at work began grabbing wider attention.
