For her recent birthday, Anne Curtis decided to give herself a present—a three-bedroom condominium unit in Makati.

Prior to the purchase, Anne lives with her family in a beautiful townhouse in Sucat, Paranaque.

Was the purchase one of the first steps towards complete independence?

“Basta ang gaan ng feeling ko doon. Ang fresh, ang presko. Kasi parang it’s a step, a different step. I don’t know if it’s because I’m turning 25. Parang ang feeling ko, iba (na) ang outlook ko in life,” she explained in an interview aired on “Showbiz News Ngayon,” February 23.

Anne admits she hasn't received a gift from her former sweetheart Sam Milby. Shocking news for fans of the couple, indeed, considering that the two are currently hard at work on Star Cinema's “Babe, I Love You.”

Then again Curtis is still hopeful that Milby will come up with something.

“I’m excited to see what he's gonna give me. It’s going to meet certain standards daw. Ayaw niyang sabihin kung ano iyon, so mega wait (ako),” she said.

Only a few days ago, Anne and Sam were rumored to be silently feuding. Anne tried to diffuse this in a previous interview.

“Kasi, kunwari, mababa 'yong energy ko, kunwari puyat. Tao rin naman kayo. Bawal bang maging pagod? Hindi naman porke’t malungkot ako o mababa 'yong energy, eh, ang ibig sabihin siya [Sam] ang dahilan. Hindi naman ganoon. Wala namang ganoon. Kawawa naman 'yong isa,” she said.

Anne also denied that young star Maja Salvador—currently partnered with Sam in a soap opera—is a reason for her to get jealous.

“Ay wala, sobrang wala,” Anne said.
