Love is a lot of things for the country’s Multimedia Star Toni Gonzaga. With regards to her love for her showbiz career, it is about passion, working hard and constantly offering different things about her. And before the love month ends, she is again to showcase one of her talents – singing via a concert aptly entitled “Love is… Toni Gonzaga” at the Music Museum this Feb. 26 and 27!

According to Toni, her show is timely since she has just finished hosting the season of “Pinoy Big Brother: Double-up.”

“This is a good break for me and I’m very excited and happy about this show. My PBB fans who wants to see another side of me can see me sing and perform again in my concert. And everyone knows that I love singing and I started in showbiz as a singer also,” explained Toni Gonzaga.

As a singer and a recording artist, Toni Gonzaga has already proven her vocal prowess. She’s already one of the few active Platinum recording artists in the country. And one of her albums is also entitled “Love is… Toni Gonzaga.” Thus, her upcoming concert will also contain songs from that album as well as love songs that her audience wants her to sing.

Being christened a Multimedia Star is best explained by the various forms of mainstream entertainment that she has conquered – singing, movie and TV acting, dancing and hosting. Proofs to this are her awards like PMPC Star Awards’ Best Female Talk Show Host, Anak TV Seal Roseter Award, her sold-out concerts, chart-topping singles as well as Gold and Platinum record awards!

“I’m really excited about this show,” she stressed. “I’ve been focused about my TV shows and doing movies that I haven’t had a major concert since Feb. of last year. I miss having a solo concert that I’ll be the only star on stage… also the two nights will be two different shows as well so it’s really exciting!”

In the works too for Toni Gonzaga is a movie with action and dramatic actor Robin Padilla. This is an important movie for her since she knows that a lot of female actresses as well as actors have dreamed of working with Philippine Cinema’s charming “Bad Boy.” She said that she has already read the story and liked it.

But is she ready to be romantically linked with the “single” Robin Padilla?

“More than anything else, what I want to concentrate on would be how to make this a beautiful movie. I don’t want to think about intrigues. Besides it doesn’t mean that you always have to be rumored to your leading man every time you make a movie,” commented Toni.

With regards to a soap opera, Toni is keeping mum about things but her fingers are crossed that she’d receive a good TV project soon.

Always working and always keeping herself busy, doesn’t she get tired of her showbiz career?

“No. If I don’t get offers anymore then that’s when I’d get tired. But while there are job offers, all I could say is go,” she exclaimed.

Part of such rationale is her experience of getting into mainstream showbiz which can be described in one word – difficult!

“It wasn’t easy for me to enter showbiz. I experienced the hardships and I went through a lot like modeling, doing VTRs and singing in hotel lounge. So when I got in showbiz, I realized that I shouldn’t just offer one talent. I was already given the opportunity so it’s best if I showcase a lot of talents. This will ensure that the people who trust me won’t get tired of me. Rather they’d keep looking forward to what else I can do as an artist,” commented Toni.

Part too of her success in showbiz is loyalty. But she explained that her loyalty is to her immediate family, parents and siblings. Her working relationship too with ABS-CBN is “wrinkle-free” and she is happy. As to rumors if she’d given a thought to transferring to TV5 or if she was offered to transfer to them, she’s staying with ABS-CBN.

“There’s more PBB seasons to come and it would be a waste if I’d let them go… loyalty for me is something important especially when it comes to personal development. Besides my sister is already there,” she smiled.
