If it will be up to him, James Yap wants his son Baby James to become a basketball player just like him.

“Kung ako tatanungin mo, player. Kasi ako nakarating ako [dito]… nakapag-aral ako ng libre dahil athlete ako. [Pero] hindi ko siya pipilitin kung ayaw niyang maging athlete,” said Kris Aquino’s husband on “Startalk.”

Should Bimby follow in his mom’s footsteps to become the “Prince of All Media,” James assured he would also be supportive of him.

The cager shared that his new commercial with Bimby has the blessings of the Queen of All Media.

“Oo pinag-usapan namin [ni Kris]. Una niyang sinabi sa’kin gusto [niyang] makita ‘yung [story] board. Nung makita niya ‘yung message nung board, [na-excite siya],” related James.

He also said that their marriage is going strong, thanks to their new mantra, “love, love, love.” James added that he has learned from the past controversy that hounded their relationship, particularly that of a frantic fan named Mayen Austria who constantly called and texted him.

“Ayaw na. Sobrang careful na careful na ko,” he quipped.
