‘Gibo’ shifts campaign to vote-rich Metro Manila
Lakas-Kampi-CMD lawmakers in Metro Manila Tuesday vowed to solidify support for party presidential bet Gilbert “Gibo” Teodoro Jr. who is barnstorming the vote-rich region since Monday.
Fresh from a hectic campaign schedule in Regions I and VI-A, Teodoro shifted the campaign to Caloocan, Quezon City, Pasay City, Malabon and Manila.
Teodoro has been experiencing a surge of support from Metro Manila voters who have aired confidence on his leadership and on a clear platform of governance he had presented.
Reps. Mitch Cajayon (Caloocan City); Antonio Roxas (Pasay City); Annie Susano (Quezon City) and Trisha Bonoan (Manila) took turns in accompanying Teodoro in their respective districts for the next three days.
Former Rep. Ricky Sandoval would be with the administration presidential bet in Malabon sorties.
Teodoro’s campaign spokesman Mike Toledo said the candidate’s schedule includes a feeding program for some 3,000 families in Antipolo and as guest of honor and speaker at the presidential series forum of the Manila Overseas Press Club to be held at the Intercontinental Hotel Manila on Friday.
Last week, a big majority of Ilocano legislators belonging to the potent bloc in the House of Representatives called the “Northern Alliance”’ declared their support for Teodoro’s presidential bid.
