Melisa “Melai” Cantiveros denied she is facing a dilemma over the million peso cash prize she won from the "Double Up” edition of the popular reality TV series, "Pinoy Big Brother."

Buzz has it that Cantiveros’ family is squabbling over the money.

“Hindi naman totoong nagkakagulo dahil sa pera. Kakakuha ko lang nung one million na cash prize ko,” said she, who also won P2.5 million worth house and lot, 40 inch LCD TV, Asian Trip for two and a water refilling business.

Cantiveros said most of her winnings will be spent paying for debts her parents incurred.

Babayaran ko muna ‘yun,” she explained.

Cantiveros is being prudent about how to spend her earnings.

The 23-year old Cantiveros is set to earn more in the coming days as giant network ABS-CBN continues to milk her popularity.

Currently, Cantiveros, together with boyfriend and co-housemate, Jason Francisco is undergoing extensive acting workshops.

They recently appeared together for a special, “Melason in Love.” Both are scheduled to be part of the soap “Impostora” with Sam Milby and Maja Salvador, and in “Kokey@Ako” with Vhong Navarro and Angel Locsin.

Cantiveros said she is eager to have a “go” at Sam Milby.

“Sabi many kissing scene daw kami…eh kung meron [ay] go ako---pero sana sabihin nila kaagad para makapagtooth-brush na ako.”

All that aside, the Gen San native is surprisingly astute on the fleeting nature of fame.
