Grin
Green grows the valley between the mighty mountains of Noynoy Aquino and Manny Villar, for if green is the color of hope, it’s also the color of Gibo Teodoro.
Hope springs more eternal now that the research outfit run by “FVR’s boys” has given Gibo a double-digit rating, at last.
It’s all in the numbers, said his spokesmen, Mike Toledo and Andrew Masigan, at “Bulong Pulungan” at Sofitel: 78 percent of governors and 75 pc of mayors being Lakas are for Gibo; the party machine provides a cushion of 15 pc; Gibo “conquered” the 110 campuses that he toured in 30 days; voters ages 18 to 29 are “overwhelmingly” for him (52 pc of the population happen to be young).
My own survey shows middle-aged women – single, married, widowed – find him irresistible, too. (Note: They’re the ones who make an effort to get out the vote, more than their male counterparts.)
Too pat? There’s one tough nut to crack: economic classes D (22 pc) and E (8 pc) who don’t know what a Gibo Teodoro is. They don’t read or watch the news.
His alma mater, the green university, supports him, but the blue one likes him, too. Six of his favorite shirts are green, which he wears with blue jeans. That should even the score.
