Ruffa Gutierrez has cleared Shaina Magdayao’s name from rumors that she had sent Ruffa nasty text messages about the beauty queen's alleged relationship with actor John Lloyd Cruz.

Though the SMS messages were sent anonymously, Ruffa is said to had only pinpointed Shaina as the culprit.

A mountain formed out of that molehill and soon, Star Magic bosses had the two attend a closed-door meeting to straighten things out.

Ruffa narrated what transpired in the meeting in a taped interview shown via "Showbiz News Ngayon" on March 3.

“It happened in ABS-CBN at Star Magic office. It was a very calm talk. Marami kaming bagay na napag-usapan. Maraming naliwanagan. Siguro, in details, hindi na ako magsasalita about what really went on in the room kasi siyempre, private na ‘yon. Ang importante, wala nang problema,” she said.

According to Ruffa, the meeting made it clear that she wasn't the only one receiving nasty text messages.

“Siya (Shaina) rin,” Ruffa explained.

The TV host-actress now believes that some quarters are eager to make her and Shaina quarrel.

“We just wanted to make it clear na hindi sa amin nanggagaling ‘yong messages na pinapadala sa kanya at hindi rin sa kanila nanggagaling ‘yong mga messages na pinapadala sa amin. I guess there’s a third party involved that was trying to create intriga.”

Ruffa refused to comment if the text messages were related to John Lloyd. Instead, she asked for people to "move on" from the issue.

“Ang importante, I found out in the end that it wasn’t her (Shaina). So, 'yon 'yong magandang result. Ayun, tapos na."

In the February 28 episode of "The Buzz," host Boy Abunda also talked about the matter.

“Tungkol ito sa mga text messages. May nagpapadala ng nasty text messages sa pagitan po ni Ruffa Gutierrez at saka ni Shaina Magdayao. Masakit ang mga text messages na hindi malunok-lunok, ‘ika nga. I saw some of the text messages. Nagkaroon na po ng pagkakataon, mga kaibigan, na magkaharap si Ruffa at saka si Shaina.

“Ruffa doesn’t know this, that I’m going to talk today. Nagkaharap ho sila. Disenteng nag-usap, tahimik na nag-usap. At klaro na po sa dalawa na hindi nanggagaling sa kanino man sa kanila ang mga text messages na ito. Kung sino man ang responsible for this, huwag na ho nating pag-awayin pa si Ruffa at saka si Shaina. They are okay. Both are wonderful girls. They’re moving on. And balato na lang po natin sa dalawang ito,” Boy said.
