Applying foundation can be a tricky business. How much is too much? Which shade is right for your skin? Should you use one that is in liquid or in powder form?

We want a foundation that is not heavy and something that just blends like a dream. The last thing we’d want to see on those photos are the noticeably uneven skin tone more often than not caused by the wrong choice of foundation. Well, be comforted by the fact that technology gets better and better by the minute. And, no, I’m not talking about new developments in photo manipulating.

Cosmetic innovation and technology make a stride forward with Max Factor’s award-winning Second Skin Foundation. Designed to conform and match exactly to the look and feel of your skin, it delivers a naturally flawless complexion, and minus the uncomfortable and heavy feeling most liquid foundations leave. And, International Makeup Artist for Max Factor, Chechel Joson, explains why: “(It) is formulated to synchronize with your skin’s own surface energy making it undetectable for a finish that is flawless, radiant, and healthy.”

The Max Factor Second Skin Foundation comes in seven shades, which are Creamy, Ivory, Warm Almond, Blushing Beige, Sand, Natural, Golden, and Bronze, to cover all skin types (Joson especially chose Golden for me). I tried it and it really does indiscernibly look and feel like your second skin. A little tip, though, for those who have oily skin and tend to shy away from liquid foundations, you can still use Second Skin Foundation and just set it with a loose powder, preferably Max Factor’s Natural Minerals Foundation. And, just like that, you’re ready for your close-up.
