SUBIC — Irish Valenzuela of Liquigaz shot like a cannon down the wire to nose out Joel Calderon of Smart in Stage 6 of the 2010 Liquefied Petroleum Gas Marketers Association (LPGMA) Tour of Luzon.

Valenzuela's mad dash to the finish in three hours, 30 minutes and 39.28 seconds allowed him to earn his first lap victory while Calderon came five seconds behind after completing the  130-kilometer uphill course from the former US naval base through Morong, Bataan and back.

It could have been a three-cornered fight going to the finish but Baler Ravina suffered from a flat tire in the last seven kilometers, allowing Valenzuela and Calderon to zoom away and dispute the stage accolade head-on.
