Controversial young star Lovi Poe denied that she went shopping with rumored boyfriend Ronald Singson in New York.

“Nag-shopping siya sa sarili niya. Nag-shopping din ako sa sarili ko,” she told “Showbiz Central.”

She went on to defend herself, saying, “Alam ko ‘yung totoo and as long as wala akong tinatapakang tao, okay ako.”

Lovi was in New York recently to attend the Soho International Film Festival, where her indie film with Joem Bascon, “Walang Hanggang Paalam,” bagged the “Best Picture” award.

The singer-actress admitted that Chavit Singson’s son was there, but belied that he went to the Big Apple to follow her.

“Well of course nag-bakasyon before the election. He does that all the time. [And] his friends are also there,” she explained.

The late Fernando Poe Jr.’s daughter maintained that while Ronald is courting her, they are still just friends.

“We’re close pero for now, I just want to maintain ‘yung friendship lang muna. And I’m sure ganun din siya. Mahalaga siya. He made my New York time very memorable,” she said.
