Sexy actress Francine Prieto is overwhelmed by the support her showbiz colleagues have been giving in helping raise funds for the treatment of her mother, Amelia Falcon, who is currently battling ovarian cancer.

Because of her present predicament, she said she has also realized who her true friends are.

The fund-raising, held last February 28 at Tomas Morato, was said to have been spearheaded by the “Kanguso” group in Twitter, made up of combined Kapusos and Kapamilyas. It has raised at least P800,000.

Mrs. Falcon has just been released from the hospital after she was confined again last Friday, March 5, due to stomach ache. She is set to undergo chemotherapy this week.

Francine admitted that she is selling some of their houses, as well as her car. However, they haven’t found any buyers yet.

Meanwhile, the actress said she is now “okay” with her sister, with whom she’s had a misunderstanding.

It is recalled that her sister had a quarrel with their mother, who was already ill at that time, and had left their house.

According to Francine, “Pumunta-punta na siya sa bahay. At least okay na po ‘yun.”
