CSA, Hope win Women's Volleyball League titles

Colegio San Agustin and Hope Christian High School scored contrasting victories to bag the elementary (competitive) and high school (competitive) titles, respectively, in the 14th Women’s Volleyball League last Sunday at the UP gym in Diliman.

The CSA girls whipped Miriam College, 25-14, 25-19, to finish the two-level tournament unscathed, while Hope Christian’s spikers turned back Colegio San Agustin, 22-25, 25-16, 25-19, 25-16.

Assumption Antipolo and Southville International School shared final-day honors by winning the elementary (developmental) and high school (developmental) crowns, respectively, in the event organized by BEST Center.

Assumption rolled back CSA, 24-26, 25-20, 26-24, while Southville toppled San Beda College Alabang, 25-21, 25-14.

Southville also emerged as consolation round champion in the elementary (developmental) level by beating De La Salle Canlubang, 25-7, 25-19.

SBC Alabang, PAREF-Rosehill School and San Antonio de Padua College finished third in the elementary (developmental), high school (developmental) and high school (competitive) levels, respectively.

SBC-Alabang spilled St. Scholastica’s College, 25-18, 25-14; PAREF-Rosehill subdued La Salle College Antipolo A, 18-25, 25-14, 28-26; and SAPDC defeated St. Scholastica’s College A, 25-19, 25-17.
