SINGAPORE (Reuters) — Angelo Que and Mars Pucay will try to earn a berth in the British Open in July when they make their bid in the 36-hole qualifying at the Saujana Golf Club near Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday and Thursday.

Que qualified to compete in last year’s Open but failed to make the cut, while Pucay will be aiming for his first British Open stint.

South Korean teenager Noh Seung-yul will be among those also seeking a slot to follow his record-breaking victory at the Malaysian Open last Sunday when he became, at 18, the youngest professional winner of a European Tour event.

Seventy-two players from 18 nations will compete for four places in the third major championship of the season at the Old Course, St. Andrews from July 15-18.
