Rumored sweethearts Sarah Geronimo and Rayver Cruz denied avoiding each other during the recent 2010 Myx Music Awards held at the Music Museum on March 2.

“Hindi ko siya nakita. Medyo na-late kasi ‘yung dating ko kasi ano... hindi talaga kami nagkita,” a seemingly rattled Sarah explained in a taped interview aired on "Showbiz News Ngayon," March 9.

Rayver, on the other hand, said there's no reason for him to snub Sarah at all.

“Ba’t ko naman siya iiwasan? Opening lang ako sa show,” he explained.

The “Magkano Ang Iyong Dangal” actor admitted he was aware that Sarah is coming to the event.

“Oo naman. Lagi naman nandoon si Sarah, eh. Pero hindi lang kami nagkita kasi nga after yata ng opening doon siya dumating or after ng opening, may isang production at saka siya dumating… so hindi kami nagkita,” he explained.

The lanky actor downplayed rumors that he’s jealous of Luis Manzano, Sarah’s leading man in her latest movie "Hating Kapatid." It is recalled that Sarah admitted recently that she is titillated by the mere thought of being paired with Luis.

“Ba’t naman ako magseselos? Saka kaibigan naman niya tayong lahat dito. Wala namang dapat pagselosan,” Rayver said.

The Popstar Princess emerged as 2010 MYX Music Awards’ biggest winner. She amassed three major awards namely Favorite Media Soundtrack for "Record Breaker," Best Female Artist award, and the Favorite Artist honor for her music video, "You Changed My Life."

According to the grapevine, Rayver and Sarah avoided each other during the awards night to douse rumors that they are already an item.

Apparently, Sarah’s mother, Mommy Divine, is against her daughter having a romantic relationship at this point in her career.
