Jessica Simpson still can’t forgive John Mayer

Singer-actress Jessica Simpson is still angry about John Mayer’s public boast that she’s “crazy” in bed.

But she says she isn’t really sure.

"I'm not angry,” Simpson, 29, said on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" a few days ago. "I'm not angry. I'm -- well, I'm a little bit angry ... I'm a little bit angry."

When Winfrey asked Simpson why, the star hesitated again for a bit before saying: “Well, I don't want people to know how I am in bed."

It is recalled that Mayer, who is slated to do a one-night gig in Manila soon, gave Playboy Magazine a mouthful about Simpson—among others—in its March issue.

The musician, known for women-friendly pop rock oeuvres like “Daughter,” described Simpson as a “drug” comparing her to "crack cocaine," using a lot of the "f" word as he did.

“That girl, for me, is a drug. And drugs aren't good for you if you do lots of them. Yeah, that girl is like crack cocaine to me... Sexually it was crazy. That's all I'll say. It was like napalm, sexual napalm.

“There are people in the world who have the power to change our values. Have you ever been with a girl who made you want to quit the rest of your life? Did you ever say, "I want to quit my life and just...snort you? If you charged me $10,000 to...I would start selling all my...just to keep you."

Simpson managed to joke about the statement.

"It could have been worse," she said to Winfrey laughing.

Simpson admitted she has read the article—some parts of it at least.

"I couldn’t read it…I couldn’t finish it…I heard about it and I saw some of the clips. I tried to read it, and I was so disappointed in him ... it made me so sad. It was so discouraging, because that's not the John I knew."

She admitted the singer-guitarist has sent her a written apology, but she said she did not accept it.

"I don't resent him," she said, "but I'm just going to let that part of my life go."

Mayer has also publicly apologized for the interview, where he compared his penis to a white supremacist; and using a slur against black people.

He has since started to rebuild his reputation, from openly expressing his remorse about the issue to performing with an 11-year-old guitarist in one of his concerts.

Despite John Mayer's recent kiss-and-tell revelations, Jessica Simpson says she remains, deep down, a trusting person.

"I'm not as guarded as you would think. I should probably be more guarded. I trust a lot of people, actually," she said in an interview with Ryan Seacrest on the latter’s KIIS-FM radio show.

But Simpson claimed she is still “disappointed” with Mayer. "That's truly how I felt and still feel," she said. "Somebody that you have cared about for a long time, you just hope they can keep the intimate things intimate."

While she can’t say anything nice about Mayer, Simpson only has kind words for Billy Corgan of The Smashing Pumpkins.

"I can't find good enough words to speak about Billy," said she in the same interview with Seacrest.

Simpson also referred to Corgan as a "very, very dear friend."

Simpson said she is looking forward to working again with the rock star who, she said, helped her on her new single, "Who We Are."

“For him to give his time and talents and share them with me, it was a great experience and I hope we can do more music together."

"Who We Are" is the theme song for the VH1 show “The Price of Beauty,” in which Simpson travels the world looking at what is considered beautiful in various cultures.

Meanwhile, in a related news, “The Hurt Locker” star Jeremy Renner has denied allegations he is dating Simpson.

Though she admitted meeting Simpson at a recent cocktail party for his movie, he told UsMagazine.com that he only met Simpson, for "three minutes."

It turned out Renner was not into some "sexual napalm;" he was merely eager to share beauty tips with Simpson.

"Her hair stylist [Ken Paves] did my mom's hair so we were talking about that," he said.
