Another woman was discovered “salvaged” last Tuesday in Cavite, after five bodies with signs of summary execution were found in two towns of the province in just nine days.

The body of the still unidentified woman, whose head bore three bullet wounds, was found this time in Amadeo, a town in the upland district of the province.

It was the second time that a female cadaver was found this month in Cavite. The first find, a woman’s body concealed in a traveling bag, was discovered in Bacoor town last Monday morning.

Police records showed that there were also two men found “salvaged” in General Mariano Alvarez (GMA) town early Monday morning and another two men in separate areas in Bacoor last March 1. All the killings remained unsolved.

“Salvage” is a police jargon for summary execution and comes from the Tagalog word “sinalbahe” which was styled into “sinalvage.”

The latest “salvage” occurred in a grassy area along a road in Barangay Pangil in Amadeo town. The find was reported by Eddie de la Cruz, barangay (village) chairman, at 5 a.m. Tuesday.

P03 Oliver Salazar, officer-on-case, said the woman bore two gunshot wounds in the back of the head and another in the nape.

Salazar said the woman may have been abducted elsewhere and killed in the area since she was found in a pool of blood. The investigator said that the victim has no identification cards and no one knew her in the area.

The woman was described as about 30 years old, five feet tall and fair complexioned. She has shoulder-length hair and a mole on the right upper cheek.
