PANGASINAN — Alaminos City is expecting an additional budget allocation for Gawad Kalinga housing project from Senior Board Member Danilo Dizon, once he is elected in Congress.

Dizon earlier said he would push for more support program for GK beneficiaries through the allocation of his Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) if elected in the May polls. “With GK project, our homeless constituents may be able to live in dignity,” he noted, calling on other donors to join hands in the GK housing project.

The top board member is seeking a congressional seat to represent District I under the Liberal Party. “Rural housing is one of my centerpiece programs. We are fully aware that budget support is important in the successful project implementation of GK, ,” he noted.

He vowed to distribute a huge portion of his PDAF to build low-cost housing projects.

Cited as one of the most outstanding councilors of Alaminos from 1998 up to 2001, Dizon authored the passage of a landmark ordinance, the Pangasinan Investment Code. He is the incumbent chairman of the committee on cooperatives, small business and entrepreneurship development.
