K-pop quintet Wonder Girls are the new “digital brand ambassadors” of mobile phone manufacturer Sony Ericsson in the Asia-Pacific region.

The group was in Singapore last March 9 to talk about the features of Sony Ericsson's new phones.

Early this year, Sony Ericsson launched their new Vivaz and Xperia X10 mobile phones.

At the launch, the girls were introduced as the new models for the company in Japan, South Korea, China, Singapore, Taiwan, Australia, and New Zealand.

Aside from endorsing the Sony Ericsson phones and having a photo shoot with some of the units, the group also performed their signature songs “Nobody” and “Tell Me.”

New member Hae Lim was with the group at the launch, and the rest of the group took the opportunity to tell the Chinese media that they still need more time to develop a better working relationship with her.

Yubin was quoted as saying Lim was "a very talented artist."

Former member Sunmi, who quit the group recently, is now in South Korea to prepare for her studies.

In a related development, the Wonder Girls’ hit song “Nobody” is on No. 6 in Canada based on the latest Nielsen SoundScan’s Top 20 Singles chart released last Mar. 4.

The song has been in the chart for four weeks where it peaked at No. 4.
