The integration of two key acquisitions by Fujitsu Co. Ltd. in Australia is expected to expand service offerings for Philippine clients and this action is expected to generate additional income for both companies with consolidated IT communications solutions, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) products.

The Philippines software sector is always looking at new avenues for growth. In 2009, most of its businesses came from customer support activities such as project maintenance, customer-request modifications, and new product sales. Despite several setbacks, the country is still optimistic to reach its $1-billion in revenue by 2010.

Fujitsu Australia and New Zealand, a leading provider of business, information technology, and communications is set to consolidate its position as the third largest ICT firm in Australia and New Zealand with key product launches and business growth plans for 2010, following the integration of two key acquisitions namely KAZ and Supply Chain Consulting.

Aside from the acquisition, Supply Chain Consulting will now also be known as Fujitsu Enterprise Solutions.

Fujitsu has expanded its SAP portfolio significantly in 2009 through the acquisition of the Australia and South East Asia operations of Supply Chain Consulting. “We now have one of the strongest portfolios of ERP solutions, customers, and capabilities in Australia, with the ability to deliver new opportunities for our business and greater value to customers and shareholders,” said Rod Vawdrey, Chief Executive Officer of Fujitsu Australia and New Zealand.

“Fujitsu entered 2010 in a strong position following the success in 2009. Our technological advancement for the year ahead will focus on the launch of cloud computing solutions in the local market, strengthened End User Computing offerings, expansion of data centers, and continued commitment to sustainability,” said Vawdrey. “It gives us the ability to offer customers unprecedented choice of services and capabilities in the mid-tier, and the scale to service larger enterprises, all from a single provider.”
