Ronnie Liang said he pleaded with the producers but it fell on deaf ears.

Young heartthrob Ronnie Liang claims that producers insisted on him performing in El Nido, Palawan despite figuring in an accident on his way there.

“Sabi niya [producer], ‘Kumanta ka muna bago ka [pumunta] sa hospital.’ Sabi ko, 'Masakit na po ang nararamdaman ko. Kung puwede po sana, dalhin n’yo muna ako sa hospital,’” Ronnie narrated in a taped interview shown via “Showbiz News Ngayon” on March 18.

Recall that the accident rendered Liang’s vehicle a total wreck.

Ronnie said that his request to be immediately brought to the hospital fell on deaf ears.

"Kumanta pa rin ako. After namin mag-perform, sabi nila, 'Okay, nag-perform na pala kayo, sige punta na kayo sa hospital.'

“Kahit kinumusta lang, wala eh. Parang wala naman silang pakialam. Sana huwag nila itong gawin sa ibang artist,” he lamented.

The singer admitted that the accident was among the greatest scares of his life.

“‘Yung driver kasi namin mabilis mag-drive lalo na pagliko kasi bundok ‘yon eh. Hindi siya nagmi-menor. Bumangga siya sa bundok.

“Sa sobrang lakas ng impact, ‘yung mga kasamahan ko, may nabali ‘yung buto sa kamay. ‘Yung iba, duguan ‘yung mukha, nabali ang ilong, natanggal ang mga ngipin.”

Ronnie said he was spared from injury because he used the seat belt.

“Kung hindi ako naka-seatbelt that time, lalabas ako sa salamin, sa windshield.

"Walang dumating na rescuer sa amin. Ang nag-rescue sa amin, ‘yung mga nag-good Samaritan na dumadaan.”

Ronnie said he and his group only received first aid treatment at a small clinic.

In a follow-up report on Ronnie's case, “Showbiz News Ngayon” learned that the organizers eventually had Ronnie and his group checked at the Makati Medical Center.
