Pwersa ng Masang Pilipino (PMP) re-electionist Senate President Pro Tempore Jose “Jinggoy” Estrada has dispelled speculations that his father, former President Joseph “Erap” Estrada, is just waiting for the right price before backing out of the presidential race for the May 10 polls.

In an interview, the opposition senatorial bet clarified that Estrada, who was ousted in 2001 and is now seeking reelection for presidency, will not accept any kind of payments for his withdrawal for 2010 presidential elections.

“That’s not true. We are not haggling. We cannot be bought,” the younger Estrada said.

Rumors have been circulating that the administration tapped the PMP standard bearer to back out from the presidential race and give way to its alleged secret presidential bet, Nacionalista Party chairman, Senator Manuel Manny Villar. (Rio Rose Ribaya)
