Environment-friendly lubricants launched
CEBU CITY — A global leader in the Group III base oil production and high-tech lubricants from South Korea has formally launched its new eco-friendly products here to meet the demand of Cebu's dynamic market.
SK Lubricants, a subsidiary of SK Energy which is Korea's first oil refiner founded in 1962, has officially launched its new products at this city's Waterfront Hotel.
During the press briefing prior to the automotive technical seminar, Sun Kim, area manager of SK Lubricants Global Marketing Team for Southeast and Southwest Asia and the Middle East, bared that their new products would greatly help in the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions as it is made of Yubase and extensive research.
Kim explained that Yubase is a state-of-the-art base oil that SK developed and manufactured. “It also has a very high viscosity index (VHVI) that ensures consistent lubrication, viscosity, and surface edge contact even at extreme temperature,” he said.
VHVI technology makes ZIC lubricated engines run smoother and cleaner because of the absence of unnecessary impurities that cause deposits and damage in the long run.
Further, Kim said with the use of ZIC products drain interval will be longer compared to other lubricants.
