Vice Ganda’s Facebook Fan Page has just hit its one million fan mark, making the comedian and “Showtime” host the first Filipino to achieve such a feat.

Vice posted this shoutout on Saturday, March 20:

“NAPAKASAYA KO PO!!!!!!!!! MARAMING MARAMING SALAMAT PO SA INYONG LAHAT!!!!!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS SA ATING LAHAT AT NA-ACHIEVE NATIN ANG ATING GOAL NA MAKA-1 MILLION MEMBERS. SUPER SAYA KO TALAGA!!!!! THIS IS A PERFECT BIRTHDAY PRESENT!!!!!”

His page so far has a total of 1,018,126 fans, as of this writing.

Vice related how he came to know about the news on “The Buzz.”

“Si Direk Bobet [Vidanes, “Showtime” director] tumawag na sa akin. ‘Anak, nag-one million ka na.’ Tapos ‘yung mga staff, ‘Congratulations, you are the first Filipino to reach one million following sa Facebook.'

“‘Yung salitang saya, understatement, parang hindi sapat ‘yung salitang saya,” he said.

And Vice’s newfound accomplishment does not stop there: he just had a sold-out, jam-packed show in LL Macias Sports and Cultural Center in Dumaguete; the first stop in his provincial concert tour, “May Nag-Txt… May Show Ako.”

This is the third time that the venue was entirely filled, after Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez and Popstar Princess Sarah Geronimo previously held their respective concerts there.
