Kris stays put on 'The Buzz;' Yasmien chooses school over shooting

Kris Aquino is not leaving ‘The Buzz’
In spite of all the drama she had last week, Queen of All Media, Kris Aquino is staying on “The Buzz.”
“Hindi ako puwedeng umalis kasi ito lang ‘yung programa na puwede akong bumati ng buong Philippines,” she kidded on the show’s March 21 episode.
Recall that in a previous episode of “The Buzz,” Kris confessed her apprehension about staying on the show because of the constant criticisms hurled at her as presidential candidate Noynoy Aquino’s most controversial sister.
She cleared, though, in an interview on “TV Patrol World,” March 18, that she will often be absent from the show as she accompanies her brother in his campaign trail.
Yasmien Kurdi takes showbiz sabbatical
GMA’s Drama Princess Yasmien Kurdi said she has decided to set aside her showbiz career for now to finish her studies.
“Kasi gusto ko ring makatapos ng college. Kasi nasimulan mo na ang isang bagay, bakit mo tatalikuran, ‘di ba? Kailangan mong panindigan,” she said on “Showbiz Central.”
The “StarStruck 1” First Princess is a junior at New Era University taking up Foreign Service.
Aside from her studies, her water refilling business also keeps her busy these days. Yasmien cleared, though, that she is saving up today is to ensure her financial stability in the future—and not because she is settling down anytime soon.
“Siyempre iniisip mo rin naman ‘yung future. Hindi naman tayo lahat magse-stay lang na bata. Mabuti na in the future, stable ka,” said she.
Yasmien slammed speculations that she has been traveling to different parts of the globe thanks to her rumored flight attendant boyfriend.
“Wala naman silang privilege na magbigay sa friends nila. Sa family lang ‘yun. 'Tsaka kaibigan ko lang ‘yun,” she explained. “Close friend ko po ‘yun. Hindi [siya nanliligaw]. Special friend lang talaga na naging best friend mo rin na guy.”
She also shared visiting her birth place, Kuwait.
“Pinuntahan ko po ‘yung tatay ko. Nine years din akong ‘di ako nakapuntang Kuwait,” she said.
