Stand-up comedian and “Showtime” resident celebrity judge Vice Ganda welcomes reports that he has been shortlisted as addition to the Sunday showbiz-oriented talk show “The Buzz.”

Vice Ganda said that should it happen, it will boost his already blooming career.

"Maganda sumama sa 'The Buzz.' Nakaka-level up kaya ‘yun! Ay, go na go,” he said in a taped interview aired on “Showbiz News Ngayon,” March 22.

If he joins the program, Vice Ganda said he will not spare Abunda and Aquino from his “jokes”---but with limits, of course.

"Nang-ookray man ako [ay] may respeto [pa rin] naman ako sa nakakatataas sa akin,” he blurted.

As for reports that he has become a swell-head, the comedian’s joked, “You know, sinusukat ko, gano’n pa rin. Parang mas malaki nga 'yung isa eh.”

Vice Ganda is celebrating his birthday on March 31. As a gift for himself, he bought a brand new car.

"Bumili ako ng isang sasakyan. Idedeliver pa lang siya sa (March) 30. Ayoko nang sa birthday ko siya (ide-deliver). Gusto ko isang araw bago ako mag-birthday. Ayoko rin nang matagal,” he said.

The comedian has a lot of reasons to celebrate nowadays.

For one, his Facebook Fan Page account has already reached more than one million subscribers [1, 038, 114] as of this writing. This makes him the first Filipino to reach that mark.

Also, his first provincial tour kicked off successfully in Dumaguete on March 20. The concert billed "May Nagtxt...May Show Ako” will be mounted next in Lipa City, Cagayan de Oro City, Iloilo and Zamboanga.

Vice Ganda is in the cast of the Judy Ann Santos-Sarah Geronimo Viva starrer “Hating Kapatid." He’s set to shoot his first solo starrer "Petrang Kabayo” soon.

Prior to his newfound success, Vice Ganda was just one of many stand-up comedians that littered the local comedy club scene.

In a past interview, the comedian said he’ll never turn his back on performing in comedy bars although he emphasized that his priority nowadays is “Showtime.”
