FPJPM endorses Binay’s candidacy
The Freedom, Justice and Peace Movement (FPJPM), the group responsible for propelling the candidacy of the late Fernando Poe Jr. in the 2004 presidential elections, has come out in support of United Opposition (UNO) vice presidential bet Jejomar C. Binay.
“Like FPJ, Mayor Binay genuinely cares for this country and its people. Like FPJ, Mayor Binay wishes for nothing but the best for all Filipinos, especially those who are marginalized. Like FPJ, Mayor Binay embodies the hope for a new dawn,” Lorenzo “Boots” Cadsawan, FPJPM president, said.
Binay welcomed the endorsement of the FPJPM and lauded the organization for its unflinching commitment to the principles championed by FPJ.
“The coming election is very important for all of us. We should not only participate in the elections, but we should also be prepared to fight election fraud,” Binay said.
Cadsawan said that Binay was unanimously chosen by the FPJPM organization because he embodies “character, vision, and leadership.”
He also likened Binay’s political visions to that of FPJ’s.
