Like death and taxes, Holy Week is the great equalizer in that even our favorite stars take a sabbatical from work in search of recreation and time for reflection.

Where under the skies did the stars find both this year?

These postcards from the popular people will clue in mere mortals:

Richard Guiterrez

“I’m off with my family to our Baguio home where we could relax and bond. We are too busy to get together most of the time so this is the best time to catch up.”

Jay-R

“Flying to Kuala Lumpur. I’ll be watching a show. My girlfriend Krissa Mae will be performing with Julio Iglesias. It’ll be a blast. Of course, afterwards we will also try to enjoy the place for a bit.”

Rachel Alejandro

“Just came from El Nido, Palawan with my family. Went diving with my sister. Today until Sunday I will be in Ilocos with my boyfriend. We want to see the old Vigan houses, lighthouses, churches, the Marcos Museum… then afterwards we will catch the waves in Pagudpud for a bit of relaxation.”

Jon Santos

“I’m in London with my partner West.”

Robin Padilla

“Need to keep in shape for my project with Toni Gonzaga. Shooting will commence on April 5 and our director told me he would have me nude in the first few scenes. But of course, I’ll also try to squeeze in a bit of quality time for my kids.”

Derek Ramsay

“Now in Singapore with with Angel [Panganiban]. We will also be going on a cruise around Malaysia for two, three days then back to Singapore.”

Miguel Escueta

“On my yearly silent retreat in Mt. Makiling. I’ve been doing this for the past four years because it’s the best way to get spiritually recharged.”

Nancy Castiglione

“We’re spending Holy Week at the rest house and farm of my husband’s family in Batangas.”

Kris Lawrence

“Quiet time here in Boracay.”

Paloma

“I’m home in Manila. It’s THE best place to be while everyone else is away. Nothing like peace and quiet here with the family.”

Vhong Navarro

“Visiting Beijing, China with friends. My first time. I’m excited to see the Great Wall of China.”

Enchong Dee

“On a cruise. Time to relax! I’ll spend the long vacation doing nothing but sleep, eat, swim—everything!”

E-jay Falcon

“Mindoro. I spent Holy Week in Manila last year so this time, my Papa and my brothers requested that I come home for the long break. I’d probably be there for three days.”

Rayver Cruz

“Resting at home.”

Champ Lui Pio

“At a private resort in Batangas together with friends.”

Diether Ocampo

“Am home just reading some books.”

Isabel Oli

“At home with my family.”

Mark Herras

“Subic! I’m with family and friends to relax and have fun.”

Rhian Ramos

“Hong Kong with people from Bellestars, my management. We will do some bonding. Of course, I will also do some shopping and visit some of the amusement parks here. I might get to hang out with Heart [Evangelista]. She told me she’s headed here as well.”
