Heart Evangelista denies that she has allowed her boyfriend Ian Dy to use her image in his campaign posters.

Dy is running for vice mayor in the province of Isabela.

"There are streamers that show my face but not necessarily with a 'vote for.' It’s for simple things like greetings," said she.

It's not to say that she is half-hearted in supporting his boyfriend. On the contrary, she encourages others to vote not only for him but for the rest of the Dys running in the election.

“Vote for the Dys of Isabela. Go Ian,” she enthused with a smile.

The Dys ruled Isabela as a dynasty for 34 years, from 1969 to 2004.

The dynasty started with the patriarch of the family, Faustino Dy Sr., who served as the Cauayan Mayor from 1965-1969 and as a Governor of Isabela for 22 years (1969-1992). He was replaced by his son Benjamin G. Dy in the gubernatorial seat from 1992 to 2001.

Faustino Dy Jr. took the gubernatorial seat in 2001 after having served first as a Representative of the 2nd district of the province from 1992 to 2001.

In the 2004 elections, Grace Padaca put a stop to the reign of the Dys when she won the gubernatorial seat. She was reelected as governor in the 2007 elections but was unseated by the Comelec late last year following a protest filed by Benjamin Dy.

Ian Dy is Evangelista's childhood sweetheart. They have only reunited very recently.

"He is simple and sweet. We both enjoy simple things like walking my dog...I like it that with him I get to step out of my role as a showbiz personality," gushed Evangelista.
