Is Ultimate Champion Rachelle Ann Go bound to sing a new tune for a different network?

The singer is said to be moving out of ABS-CBN to join Viva colleague Mark Bautista who is now a welcome addition to growing Kapuso stars. Rachelle, says a Manila Bulletin source, will soon be introduced as the newest recruit of GMA network.

Just like Mark, Rachelle will be formally launched as a “Party Pilipinas” cast member soon. The singer used to be a regular of  "ASAP," ABS-CBN’s Sunday musical variety show.

Rachelle’s transfer is said to be an idea of her manager Viva Artists Agency headed by Veronique del Rosario-Corpus.

Rachelle rose to prominence after she won the grand prize in the second year of "Search for A Star" which saw the emergence of Sarah Geronimo as the first grand champion. For the grand night, the singer belted out Mariah Carey’s “Through The Rain.”

Known for her strong vocals, Rachelle, before earning her monicker The Ultimate Champion, was a veteran of  amateur singing competitions. Her first crack at an amateur contest yielded  success as she won the grand prize. Her piece was Jennifer Holiday’s “And I Am Telling You.”

Then, she joined “Eat Bulaga's” search for Birit Baby. She ended up first runner up, singing the vocally challenging piece, “All By Myself” by Celine Dion.

Since entering show business, Rachelle never fails to impress her audience, listeners, and followers. Her self-titled maiden album spawned two hits, “Love Of My Life” and “Don’t Cry Out Loud.” She also joined fellow champions Sarah Geronimo and Erik Santos in  Night of the Champions concert at the Araneta Coliseum.

In 2005, Rachelle was introduced as a solo major concert artist in “Rachelle Ann Go: The Ultimate Champion” at the Aliw Theater. Three years after, she did another solo concert at the Music Museum.

Rachelle has also amassed various awards from different award-giving bodies. Her albums has earned for her gold and platinum awards. She’s also traveled around the globe for concert performances.
