“Showtime” judge Vice Ganda douses speculations that his rough banter with guest judge Gladys Reyes on the show could turn into rivalry.

“Laro-laro lang 'yon. Hindi kami nagkakapikunan,” he said in an interview with an entertainment website.

The two who began their careers doing gigs at various comedy clubs around the country are used to such jokes. And while some find the repartee below the belt, Vice Ganda maintians that he and Gladys are taking all with a grain of salt.

“Marami talaga d’yan na pipilitin kang siraan or 'yong relasyon nyo with your judges,” he mused aloud.

Whether the animosity is true or not, many are clearly amused with them. As of this writing, their “rivalry” has gained a following on Facebook with over 3,000 fans, many of whom request that Gladys be made a permanent on the show to serve as a foil to Vice Ganda.   

It’s easy for Vice Ganda to shrug off intrigues given his latest achievements. He even bought himself a brand new car for his birthday last March 31---a reward for all the hard work he has put in getting to where he is now.

“Maganda na bukod sa nakakapagpasaya ka ng tao, napapasaya mo din sarili mo. Pero siyempre kailangan din talagang mag-ipon kasi hindi naman ito (showbiz career) permanente e.

“'Yong sasakyan investment din naman 'yan so kumbaga 'yong pera ko ginagamit ko rin sa makabuluhang bagay,” he enthused.

Vice Ganda is the first Pinoy celebrity to have a million members in his Facebook acoount.
