Group to conduct seminars on livelihood opportunities
ZAMBOANGA CITY – In an effort to provide the much needed skills and opportunities to unemployed individuals, a concerned group will be conducting seminars and training on various fields in different areas.
According to Emily Diaz, program director of the Golden Treasure Skills Development Program (GTSDP), various skills training like the “Fashion Jewelry and Bead Making” seminar will be conducted to train individuals to earn a living even while hunting for permanent or contractual jobs.
In a recent consultation with entrepreneurs here, Diaz said producing handmade jewelry can be a fun and excellent experience that can really give you a chance to earn a living.
Diaz said that initially, a seminar will be held at the Philippine Trade Training Center (PTTC) of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) along Roxas Boulevard corner Sen. Gil Puyat Avenue on Sunday, April 11, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Those interested to participate in the seminar may visit the Web site www.goldentreasureskills.com for more information.
“It is perfect for any individual who wanted to earn a living while seeking employment in government or private offices,” she said.
“By spending as little as five minutes to five hours working on your custom jewelry from one day to the next, you will literally make your own schedule. So whether if it is for home-based business or just a hobby, making custom jewelry is a wonderful way to relax while creating necklace or bracelet to wear, give away or as a gift,” she explained.
