Holy Week in northern metro peaceful – police
The northern part of Metro Manila was generally peaceful during the observance of the Holy Week, said Northern Police District (NPD) Director Supt. Samuel D. Pagdilao Jr.
Pagdilao cited the planning and collaborative efforts at the NPD with its force multipliers and other civilian volunteer organizations that worked together as the people commemorated Holy Week.
He also said that the deployment of the 150-strong augmentation personnel to various public places like bus terminals contributed to the peaceful week.
Pagdilao also said that there were no high profile robbery cases which happened in the area.
“The tight security implemented by the chiefs-of-police in his jurisdiction resulted to the non-successful activities of crime groups,’’ he said.
