If Kris Aquino’s youngest son, Baby James, cannot make it to the campaign sorties of Senator Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III, the anticipated presence of her eldest son, Joshua, in upcoming provincial visits will make a good bargain for fans and supporters.

Even before the start of the campaign trail, Senator Aquino had admitted being hesitant to bring along three-year-old Baby James to his provincial visits. He, however, promised lately to tag along Joshua, Kris’ equally famous son, to appease supporters who are looking for Kris and her family.

“I am worried to bring Baby James because he might get mobbed by supporters. If I got scratches and even pinches by the arm, how much more could Baby James get?” Senator Aquino once said in a sortie in Surigao City last month.

Senator Aquino once said that the common question he gets from voters is not on his platform of government but on whether or not Kris, her children and cager-husband James Yap will attend their sorties.

But since Kris and James are usually visiting other provinces campaigning for Senator Aquino separately from the LP, Aquino told reporters that he will bring along Joshua with the school year over.

“For as long as he is well fed, Joshua will make a good ‘hawi’ boy for me. He actually asked me when will I bring him to sorties and I told him ‘soon,’” Senator Aquino said in a sortie in Imus, Cavite. He was quick to add that Joshua had lost weight for undergoing a regular fitness regimen.

And once Senator Aquino gets elected to office, Joshua is expected to lose more pounds in accompanying her mother in keeping her promise to supporters in Zamboanga City, Naga City, Vigan and Laoag.
