There are lights and there are designer lights. Lights are designed to illuminate dark and dull corners and they also enhance the look of the furniture and spruce up living spaces.

Designer lights, on the other hand, are structurally created to give richness and style to a space. They also often come in modern, sensuous shapes and are elegantly finished.

FURNitalia, the Philippine distributor of Italian home furniture, has now also entered the designer lights business. Its managing director, Florence Kho, recently introduced the elegant products from the Italian company Penta. Kho says it was Italian designer Umberto Asnago who created the striking look of Penta’s lights. The rich collection he has come up with merge materials with different characteristics: blown glass, wood, metal, cold glass and fabrics.
