Capturing moments of adventure

It’s summer time! Now is the right season to go out and indulge in different outdoor activities as the metro heat rises to fever temperature.
But arm yourself for the adventure—jugs of water, sunscreen, a cool destination, and your barkada or family tagging along.
“Summer is a season of great fun and adventure. Every year, we plan to do something new or go to places we’ve never been to. It never stops after that vacation, we live those experiences all throughout the year through endless stories. This is where Sony comes in. We enhance these experiences by recording them in the best picture quality and the finest snapshots. We are taking this to an even higher level as we showcase unique and exclusive technologies for consumers to enjoy,” said Takao Kuroda, president and managing director of Sony Philippines.
Koruda added: “We continuously develop gadgets that are not only hip and stylish but are sturdy enough to be used in whatever activity we engage in.”
During Sony’s 2010 summer fever launch, mediamen were invited to try their latest digital products as they go through exhilarating challenges stationed around Shangri-la’s Boracay Resort & Spa.
From the beaches of Boracay through the different facilities of Shangri-La, five teams were given tasks using different gadgets of Sony. With every pit stop, a corresponding gadget was used to demonstrate its features as it captures every movement of the team. Through underwater, long run, and panoramic view challenges, every team tried and tested the features of the gadgets.
In the end, the Blue Team emerged as the overall champion while the Yellow Team was given the “Best Picture” award for its prize-winning snapshot.
“For people who really love to travel to the most scenic destinations, arrange for that great outdoor extreme adventure or take a plunge into endless deep blue waters. No matter how simple or how extreme, capturing summer escapade will never be the same again,” Kuroda said.
