When news of the death of Renato Ebarle Jr. first broke out, witnesses described a foreign-looking man driving a sports utility vehicle (SUV) with diplomatic plates as the person who shot the son of a Malacañang official.

Now Ivler, who is the road rage suspect in Ebarle’s death, has been bunked in with foreign inmates at the Quezon City Jail.

Jail warden Supt. Nestor Velasquez said Ivler is staying at the International Cell (IC) located on the second floor at the rear of the jail facility.

Ivler stays in the IC with 22 other foreign inmates where they share a single common bathroom and rest room.

“The IC is actually intended for 15 persons,” admitted Velasquez, who described the IC as big as his own office or some 12 feet by 15 feet in size.

Despite the congested inmate dormitory, the jail warden said the suspect prefers staying in at the IC which gets its cooling from the hot summer days from 13 small electric fans there.

“Since he was brought here, he has been visited by his mother (Marlene Aguilar-Pollard),” noted Velasquez.

With the visitations, the jail warden said the inmate always get to eat home cooked meals brought to him by his mother and has yet to taste jail food.

So far, the jail official expressed satisfaction that Ivler has been behaving well inside the jail facility.
