Four teams make their debuts this Wednesday in the resumption of the 2010 Filoil Flying V Tanduay First Five Preseason Invitational Cup at The Arena in San Juan.

Adamson battles Mapua in the first seniors game at 3 p.m. while University of Perpetual Help takes on Arellano in the 5 o’clock main game.

Spicing up the day will be three games in the juniors, the Ato Badolato Cup, with FEU-Nicanor Reyes Educational Foundation meeting the RP U-13 Youth team at 1 p.m. Other games pit University of Santo Tomas and University of the East at 9 a.m. followed by Perpetual and National University at 3 p.m.

Coming off a fifth-place finish in last year’s UAAP wars, the Falcons will return with an intact line-up led by veteran forward Jan Colina, Alex Nuyles and guards Jerick Canada and Lester Alvarez.

Coach Leo Austria will also parade some new players who will likely suit up in the UAAP in July in Kenyan Austin Manyara and King Importante, among others.

Meanwhile, the Cardinals will be coming in to the court with the same roster they had in the NCAA led by former Rookie of the Year Allan Mangahas, Erwin Cornejo, TG Guillermo, and Jason Pascual.

The Intramuros-based squad added former Philippine Christian University guard Jumel Chien while Jonathan Banal will use this tournament to shrug off rustiness after missing all of last season because of an ACL injury.

It will be the first time that Arellano will compete in this annual preseason tournament. The Chiefs were recently accepted by the NCAA as one of two new regular member schools joining Emilio Aguinaldo College.

With last year's NCAA Mythical Five Gio Ciriacruz gone, the former NCRAA champions will lean on guard Adrian Celada, Isiah Ciriacruz, and 5-foot-1 point guard Leonard Anquilo.

After a dismal ninth-place finish in Boris Aldeguer's coaching debut in the NCAA, the Altas added some former PCU cagers in Marlon Gomez and George Allen to help guard Chris Elopre, Robin Rono, and veteran big man Raffy Ynion.
