DUMAGUETE CITY (PNA) – A group of international observers from Germany, including some government representatives, are arriving in Negros Oriental next month to witness the Philippines’ first-ever automated presidential elections on May 10.

Cindy Uy of the Gender Watch Against Violence and Exploitation (G-WAVE) said the group would be in Negros Oriental on May 4 to 12 to get a first-hand experience on pre-election activities, to include preparations by the Commission on Elections (Comelec) and local campaign sorties especially at the community level.
