No way, ‘Erap’ says of alliance
On the eve of his birthday, former President Joseph "Erap" Estrada said Sunday there is no way he would forge a secret alliance with President Arroyo just to win the presidential race.
"Ang sama ng tono (It doesn't sound good)," Estrada chuckled, when asked if there is a so-called "Eraparroyo" alliance with the defection of administration party Lakas-Kampi-CMD top officials in Quezon City to the Pwersa ng Masang Pilipino (PMP).
Nacionalista Party (NP) standard bearer Senator Villar has been branded "Villaroyo" by the Liberal Party (LP) as he was allegedly the secret candidate of President Arroyo in the presidential race. NP, on the other hand, gave LP standard bearer Senator Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III the "Gloriaquino" tag, saying it was the son of the late Senator Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino III and the late President Corazon Aquino who has ties with the Arroyo administration.
Estrada said Lakas-Kampi-CMD mayoral bet for Quezon City Second District Rep. Annie Rosa Susano’s voice of support for his candidacy is not a sign of alliance with Mrs. Arroyo as the solon has been allied with PMP in the past.
"We will not have an alliance with the administration. Susano is just returning to our fold. She has been with us in the past," Estrada said.
