Korean music festival in LA a success

K-pop artists including the Wonder Girls performed to a sold-out audience at the 8th Korea Times Music Festival at Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on May 1.
Fan girls and fan boys totally “spazzed” as the four-hour show featured new and veteran Korean singers.
Boy band BEAST opened the show and performed their songs “Mystery” and “Shock”.
“I was screaming so loud i thought i was gonna pass out,” one fan who attended the music festival wrote on b2strising.com, the international forum for BEAST fans.
The Wonder Girls sang the English version of their hit song “Nobody” and also performed “So Hot” and “Tell Me”.
Boy band 2PM sang “Without You,” “Heartbeat,” “Again and Again” and “Friday Night”.
“2PM was awesome,” according to a fan after seeing the boy band at the festival.
Other artists who performed were Kim Jong-Kook, Leessang, KARA, Lee Eun-Mi, Yoon Hang-gi, HAHA, Choi Sung-soo, Kim Yun-Ja, Yoon Bok-Hee and Yoon Soo-Il.
“Last night was awesome. It was the best experience of my life. It was my first year going and I got hooked. All the performers were great from the idol groups to the old artists. I screamed for every single performer,” one fan wrote on the Facebook page of the festival.
KARA member Nicole and HAHA emceed the festival.
The Korea Times Music Festival was started in 2003 “to create a memorable night of music and harmony among Korean Americans”.
Among those who have graced the show in the past years include Rain, BoA, Super Junior, Girls Generation, SS501, Fly to the Sky and TVXQ.
