Annabelle Rama and Ruffa Gutierrez cried foul over circulating text messages that allegedly quote the former as badmouthing Kris Aquino’s brother, Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III.

Noynoy is a rival of Gilberto “Gibo” Teodoro, the presidential candidate that Annabelle and Ruffa endorse.

In a set of tweets posted by an entertainment website on May 6, Annabelle blurted:

"Hindi ko sinasabi na abnormal si Noynoy, wala akong sinabing ganyan. Ni hindi ko kilala ‘yung taong ‘yun. Paano ko sasabihin na abnormal siya? Wala akong sinisiraan, ang kinakampanya ko lang ay kandidato ko, si Gibo. Iyang nagsasabi na sinabi kong abnormal si Noynoy sinisiraan ako. Ayoko ng ganyan.”

The malicious SMS that Annabelle herself forwarded to the website read:

“GOT THIS>In 1992 Iglesia ni Cristo backed up Danding Cojuanco. Danding lost! FVR (Fidel V. Ramos) won! INC has only 2M voters, not 6M! Anabelle continued, ‘Hindi pwedeng iboboto natin ang kandidato dahil kapatid lang ni Kris! Remember, 6 years ito! 6 years!

“Annabelle Rama lacks sleep and her voice sounds tired from campaigning for Gibo. ‘He's the most qualified! Alam niya gagawin pag humarap sa ibang bansa, hindi gaya ni Noynoy na magtatanong pa kay Mar!’ Anabelle's latest sortie was in Batangas, where she had her talents in tow.”

Ruffa took to Twitter minutes after to air her dismay over schemers who tried to drag Annabelle into a political controversy.

“Just because my mom is a die-hard G1BO VOLUNTEER wearing green from head-to-toe including Gibo's face on her watch & green polish...DO NOT USE HER FOR BLACK PROPAGANDA!! She is quietly yet passionately campaigning for her choice-G1BO just as she did for FPJ (Fernando Poe, Jr.)."

She clarified that her mother was “never interviewed” about politics "so please refrain from making up stories. Stick to POSITIVE CAMPAIGNING. Huwag mag imbento!!”

The “Paparazzi” host used to back the Queen of All Media’s brother. Eight days before the election, Ruffa declared her support for the administration bet.

“Just got hit by the green fever! My president is G1BO TEODORO! Galing at talino. SULONG G1BO! :))))” she tweeted on May 2.

Ruffa appealed to her followers to “keep the peace, be positive & not use dirty old tactics. Let's RESPECT one another's choice.”
