Chief State Prosecutor Claro Arellano said Friday the Department of Justice (DoJ) is set to come out next week with a consolidated report of election-related cases all over the country.

Apart from cases of election-related violence in Bacoor, Cavite and Abra, Arellano said the DoJ is still waiting for the feedbacks and reports from prosecutors all over the country.

Arellano said there are still areas in other parts of the country that have yet to wrap up canvassing. “Some of our prosecutors are busy with canvassing.

But they would immediately file reports the soonest time. Hopefully by next week we can come out with consolidated cases,” he said.

The chief state prosecutor said after the inquest proceedings or filing of election-related cases, the DoJ will monitor the prosecution of election-related cases.

“The next step is the monitoring of cases,” he said.

The DoJ remains open for such election-related complaints until today, May 15 (Saturday) and in fact the DoJ has a 24-hour telephone online at the DoJ Central Office to answer inquiries and receive all election-related matters that will be brought to the attention of the Acting Secretary.
