It was not me.

This was the answer of Commission on Elections (Comelec) Commissioner Nicodemo Ferrer to the taped conversation allegedly between him and a Cabinet secretary regarding poll fraud.

“I have not communicated with this fellow. I heard the conversation through a website, definitely it was not me,” Ferrer said.

In the said taped conversation, Ferrer and the Cabinet secretary were supposedly discussing the manipulation of the May 10, 2010 elections, similar to the so-called “Hello Garci.”

Ferrer said how can he rig the elections when his knowledge in computer is very limited.

“My knowledge in computer is very limited. All I know is how to type our resolutions. If they want someone (to rig the election), then it should not be me,” said Ferrer.

He then appealed to those behind the tape not to taint his name especially since he’s about to retire from Comelec next year.

“I’m retiring from Comelec in February next year and I don’t want my name tainted,” Ferrer said.
