After a two-day confinement, boxing star and Sarangani congressman-elect Manny Pacquiao has been discharged from the Cardinal Santos Medical Center in San Juan.

As soon as he checked out, Pacquiao was driven straight to the GMA 7 studios so he could begin shooting sequences for the sitcom “Show Me Da Manny.”

Pacquiao was admitted Sunday morning after complaining of severe stomach pain.

Doctors revealed that it was a recurrence of his old acid reflux ailment, something that was triggered by his poor eating habits the past couple of months due to his hectic campaign schedule.

Pacquiao’s schedule is going to be extra-tight in the coming days because he is set to leave for the US on June 1 for a short vacation with his loved ones.

Also on tap during his US trip are two important events: The June 4 Boxing Writers Association of America awards night at the Roosevelt Hotel in New York and the June 5 fight between Miguel Cotto and Yuri Foreman at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx.

Beginning July 1, Pacquiao will begin his tenure as Sarangani congressman and his new role as lawmaker should prevent him from engaging in more extra-curricular activities.

Pacquiao, 31, is returning to the ring on November 13 possibly against Floyd Mayweather, Jr.
