Although Angel Locsin has categorically denied she was once the girlfriend of comeback actor Cogie Domingo, it still gets talked about these days which has prompted her to elaborate on the issue.

Locsin wailed on "Showbiz News Ngayon, June 4, “Hindi naging kami.”

“Malinaw naman iyon. Alam naman niya ‘yong totoo. We’re friends talaga pero ‘wag niyang kalimutan na may responsibility siya sa tao na magsabi ng totoo. Kung gusto niyang paniwalaan ang gano’ng bagay, okay naman sa akin, eh. Kanya-kanyang trip lang naman ‘yan. Pero ‘pag nagsalita ka sa tao, ‘wag mo na lang sabihin na ganito ‘yung pangyayari kahit hindi naman.”

Locsin questions the timing of the rumor, which came when Domingo was promoting a movie to mark his re-entry into show business. More, the piece of gossip seem to have started from the actor’s camp.

“Kasi ang issue, wala pa ako sa ABS-CBN. Bakit ngayon lang ulit napag-uusapan?” Angel asks.

Locsin admitted that the actor introduced her to his mom, but this is not to say that they were already sweethearts then.

“Oo, totoo, pinakilala niya ako. Sabi ko nga sa mga friends ko, nakilala rin ng family nila, eh. Hindi naman porke’t pinakilala ka... Mabait si Tita sa akin,” she explained.

Later, she pleaded the press to refrain from asking her questions about her supposed romance with Domingo.

“Ayoko na po talagang pag-usapan. Kasi, para sa akin, ba’t ako mag-e-explain, parehong past na ‘yon. Bakit pinipilit, eh, nasagot ko na ‘yon.”

On “Juicy” that same night, TV host Cristy Fermin revealed that Locsin called Domingo twice on his cellphone but the actor did not respond.
