Kapuso talent Rhian Ramos laughed out loud when asked if something is really going on between her and DJ-TV host Mo Twister.

“Nothing! We’ve been friends since I was 16, but he’s not courting me. We’re close, but I don’t think I can be all of a sudden boyfriend-girlfriend with someone who’s not even courting me,” she told Bulletin Entertainment and other members of the press at the PLDT myDSL Watchpad Finals, which she hosted on June 4.

The query stemmed from Mo Twister and Ruffa Gutierrez’s recent repartee on TV5 talk show “Paparazzi,” during which Ruffa ribbed Mo about seeing Rhian in Paris a few weeks back. The speculation about Rhian and Mo grew even more after it was reported in a daily broadsheet that Mo’s supposed romantic relationship with another DJ, Andi Manzano a.k.a. Andi9, is no more because of Rhian.

“First of all, I only found out that Mo was in Paris after I returned to Manila from Europe. But had I known na nasa Paris pala siya with Hayden and Dra. Vicki Belo, e di sana nakipagkita na nga lang ako sa kanila. I mean, I’m good friends with Mo and Hayden, and I’m a Belo endorser pa, so seeing them would’ve been a non-issue,” Rhian said.

The young actress revealed that Ruffa tweeted her following that “Paparazzi” episode.

“I was in California then and nagkataon naman na nasa Internet ako when Ruffa sent a message kaya nalaman ko agad what happened. Sabi ko, ‘What?!?’ and then she said, ‘Huy, sorry, we were just joking around.’ So, since sa kanya naman na nanggaling na biro lang lahat, I think we can let it go.”

Not so fast – what about Mo? Did he contact her or are they now iffy towards each other because of the talk?

“Mo tweeted me the next day or later that night. He tweeted na parang “Sorry, nasali ka pa sa asaran namin ni Ruffa. She just knows I have a big crush on you.” Parang ganun but in English.

“I guess rumors go, but I don’t blame people from picking it up kasi nga it’s been said. Am I mad about it? Mo and Ruffa said sorry and we’re friends, and this is what friend do – they joke around.”

Asked if Mo has a chance should he cross the line with her, Rhian gave a cliffhanger of an answer.

“I’ll cross the bridge when I get there. But like I said, we’re just friends and he’s not courting me. I just don’t want to give a definite answer now because if I say ‘Heck, no!’ tapos when it happens…

“And if I say naman na ‘Well, since we’re friends naman, maybe we’ll work out…’ and then in the future, ayoko pala…” she trailed off.

Rhian said she hangs out with Mo sometimes, and when they do, all they talk about is pop culture and gadgets.

“He gives me advice on good movies. He’s the person I go to if I want to find out what’s in, what’s hot. He also gives me advice on my computer because he’s a techie and I’m really stupid when it comes to the thing,” she said.

The young actress has no qualms saying that she likes Mo’s personality except that “I never saw him in that way.”   

“Still, it doesn’t change the fact that he’s a great guy,” Rhian quipped.

From the way Rhian spoke, it seems love continues to take a backseat in her priorities what with her “chores” for PLDT myDSL Watchpad enough to fill up her calendar.

Rhian as well as fellow PLDT myDSL watchpad Crew celebrity Gino Dela Peña helped announced the winners in the search that night. These were Carole Monique de Leon, Jacqueline Milner, George Schulze, Yassi Pressman, and Nikko Ramos.

The special award winners were Yassi (Lifestyle Press Choice), Paolo Villanueva (People Online Choice Award), and Nikko (Entertainment Press Choice Award, Bloggers’ Choice Award and School Editors’ Choice Award).

The biggest names in entertainment, fashion, blogger’s circle, and the academe attended the event including Isabel Oli, Amber Davis, Tim Yap, Tessa Prieto Valdez, Ton Vergel de Dios, Nyco Maka, DJ Yoshi Uy, and Dolly Ann Carvajal.

Also on hand at the M Café then were PLDT Retail Business Group head Dan C. Ibarra and PLDT myDSL head Gary Dujali, who both awarded the prizes to the winners.
